ARTIST SUPPORT GROUP (ASG) - Terms
and Benefits
WHY MEMBERSHIP? (Skip

The
United African Artists (UAA) is a not-for-profit Organization set up to promote the growth, unity, and
sustenance of African Artists around the world by providing exposure and support services to such artists. To
help in achieving this goal, UAA
provides an Artists Support Group membership to all African Artists
willing to join.
In this regard, the term "artists" includes actors, writers,
directors, singers, dancers, performers, poets, instrumentalists, etc.
WHAT
WE CAN DO and REASONS TO JOIN (BENEFITS)
The United African Artists could provide Artist support, service, or assistance in areas such as Artist
Promotion, Representation, Music/Movie production support, Concerts, Research, Fashion Shows, Market
Surveys, Movie and Music distributions, Event Promotions, Film Festivals, Theater performances, Script provisions, Advertisements,
Sponsorships,
Artist/Producer/Director data, and other related services. In addition to the activities listed above, members are given access to a
database of materials and information of fellow African Artists, culture,
and entertainment.
TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP
The
above listed activities are implemented through the means of the Artists
Support Group under which, members of the support group are entitled to
support and discounts as well as prior considerations by the United
African Artists. To be able to take care of the expenses
incurred by UAA in providing such Artists support activities and services,
members of the Artist Support Group are required to subscribe for the
Artist Support Group membership by annual membership donation.
The annual donation for such subscription will be announced in due course.
TERMINATION
OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership
of UAA Artists Support Group could be terminated at any time without any
restriction by a member (by failure to renew such membership subscription)
or by UAA (by failing to list such member in its ASG membership list,
and/or failing to provide Artist Support Services). However, if there is
any representation agreement or understanding between UAA and the Artist,
such termination of ASG membership shall not affect the provisions of the
representation agreement or understanding. Such representation agreement
or understanding shall subsist independent of the ASG Support Group
membership, and will be treated as a separate agreement or understanding
which requires separate formation, execution, or termination.
An artist who terminates his ASG
Membership with UAA is required to return any UAA
property in his or her possession and desist from any further use of any
property or resource obtained from UAA by virtue of the UAA
membership. In return, if such membership was obtained by an annual
registration fee or donation, such member shall be entitled to a refund of the
percentage of the registration fee outstanding (if any) and equal to the
ratio of the unused part of the
membership registration measured from the time a written request for
termination and refund was received by UAA.
